ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS 
MERIT AWARD PROGRAM 
OBEDIENCE : RALLY: TRACKING : AGILITY : VERSATILE 
. 
This award is intended to recognize a truly outstanding Yorkshire Terrier in 
Obedience, Tracking, and Agility events. It represents success in the events and 
demonstrates outstanding abilities of the dog and great amounts of effort, training 
ability, and perseverance on the part of the owner and handler. 
This award is presented to the Yorkie who earns the following titles in each division.

QUALIFICATIONS 
. 
Obedience - Dog must have earned any of the following: 
AKC -  UD , UDX ,  OTCH or  NOC title.
. Tracking - Dog must have earned any of the following: 
AKC -  TD , TDX, VST  or  CT title.
. Agility - Dog must have earned any of the following: 
AKC -  AX , AXJ , MX , MXJ  or  MACH title.
Versatile Companion Dog - Dog must have earned any of the following:
AKC - VCD1 , VCD2 , VCD3 , VCD4 or VCCH title.

Awards are presented with the annual awards in New York every February unless 
otherwise announced.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
. 
Only Dogs or Bitches owned and/or bred by YTCA members will be given the 
Merit Award. 
. It will be the responsibility of the owner or breeder to provide proof of AKC titles 
by one of the following methods. 
. 
1. Provide copies of the AKC awards magazine pages in which the titles 
were recorded. 
. 2. Provide a copy of each AKC title certificate along with a copy of the 
Registration Certificate (white slip) attached to it. 

. YTCA AWARDS APPLICATION POLICY

. Remember: The Award Year is tabulated from the Jan. thru Dec. AKC Gazette only! 
Award applicant must be a current member and must have been a club member for the entire year 
for which the award was given.  New YTCA members will have one (1) year after 
their one year anniversary of the date of acceptance into the club, to 
apply for Merit Award status of their dogs.
Exception: Newly added titles earned in previous years will be awarded in 2002 only. 
Owners must still apply and meet YTCA Eligibility Requirements.
